With our many years of experience, we have created a comprehensive service chain to supply fruits and vegetables from all over the world. We are experts in ripening bananas, avocados, and mangoes.

History

  • 1990

    “Augma” history began with a bunch of bananas – with the idea of bringing exotic fruits and vegetables to Lithuania. The first company unit with a warehouse was established in a garage in Šermukšnių Street, Klaipėda. At that time, we had three employees.

  • The first “Augma” warehouses were opened in the Klaipėda city wholesale base.

    1993

  • 1994

    We started ripening bananas.

  • First years of import. Initially, one refrigerated truck was imported per week; a year later, it was five trucks per week. The assortment expanded rapidly. The first ship with “Augma” goods arrived. We moved to warehouses on Vėtros Street, near the current pier, in the neighborhood of Klaipėda Port.

    1996

  • 1997

    The number of employees grew to 15 people. “Vilniaus Augma” was established.

  • Retail warehouses began operating in Vydmantai.

    2000

  • 2009

    A branch was opened in Latvia.

  • Banana ripening chambers were built in Latvia.

    2010

  • 2011

    Started selling organic products.

  • A branch was opened in Estonia.

    2012

  • 2014

    Two flow pack packaging lines were acquired. Started selling packaged herbs – a completely new product in Lithuania. This year, “Augma” started working with major Lithuanian retail chains.

  • Started packaging ripened avocados.

    2016

  • 2021

    New and innovative production and packaging lines for cherry and plum tomatoes and blueberries were established.

  • Acquired a third flow pack packaging line to ensure greater capacity.

    2023

  • 2024

    More than 150 people work at “Augma”.

Our group divisions, located in the Klaipėda and Vilnius regions, ensure a continuous supply of fruits and vegetables to cafes, restaurants, ships, and other catering establishments. We maintain regular delivery schedules and provide tailored solutions, with our range of products meeting the needs of all clients.

Growth

“Augma” holds a leading position as a supplier of fruits and vegetables in Lithuania and is experiencing stable growth in other Baltic countries. Our product range and wide array of services are attractive to markets in neighboring Poland and Scandinavian countries.
